This journey really started several years ago as Rob and Sereta experienced different coffee as they travelled throughout the United States, and Europe. The duo savored their experiences and tried to recreate the tastes at home. Last year the journey really hit a crescendo as the team decided they wanted to start another business. That it was indeed time for Robert Wilson to embark upon the act of living his passion.
The path has been twisty as all good business paths, and really life, usually are twisty. But he settled upon roasting as his niche in the coffee business. He travelled across the United States on a solo journey to find himself, and to find his coffee groove. His experiences were of course supported by Sereta, who felt that she had been given the opportunity to live her dream through Rob’s hard work and support. It was now time for her to support him, and launch his craft coffee business.
Rob Wilson attended several roasting schools including the Diedrich Roaster manufacturing company’s roaster school in Sand Point, Idaho. As he travelled there and back, he took a spiritual quest where he spent time meditating, and experiencing the wonders of this great planet. He came home to the farm and had a fantastic plan for roasting on sight, at their farm, in Norman, Oklahoma.
Rob and Sereta Wilson live on a 20 acre farm in Norman, Oklahoma. They share their space with 24 goats, 3 donkeys, numerous chickens, a couple of pigs, some organically kept honey bees, five rescue dogs, and 2 cats. Their other business happens to be a dog rescue, and doggy daycare. They are very connected to their community starting and serving on several important boards and organizations. Both are on the board of Friends of Lake Thunderbird Association, and Annie’s Rescue Foundation. They believe deeply in the philanthropic business model, and 12% of their profits go to Annie’s Rescue Foundation angel fund that supports medical needs of animals in Norman’s municipal animal shelter.
